Whether you’re completely new to sailing, looking for fun or an experienced old hand thinking of getting back into sailing, Georges River ILCA sailing is a fantastic way to get out on the water, and enjoy some friendly competition.

Botany Bay/Georges River is without question the best place in Sydney to sail, with its beautiful sandy beach, easy launching of your boat, clear winds, no ferries and other harbour traffic, plenty of parking, and great club facilities to relax in and discuss the day’s sailing.

The ILCA dinghy is exciting, rewarding, and sailed by people of all ages and experience levels around the world.

Former and current GRSC Sailors have won 8 World, 8 National and 34 State Titles in the various ILCA categories during its proud history of sponsoring ILCA sailing at the club.

The ILCA Formula has a 3-rig option the ILCA 4, 6 & 7 making it suitable for a wide range of ability and body weights, typically 50 to 100kg. It’s a simple and economical way to keep sailing in all wind strengths.
